How to write an Ebook

Publisert av Sigve Kommedalden 30. January 2010 1

Ebooks are an important part of world of internet. More and more websites are offering them, either free of cost or for a price. Let’s first take a brief look at what is an ebook.

What are E Books? Simply put, an ebook refers to a book that is published in an electronic format and is made available online, through the internet. Ebooks may be informational, educational or even promotional.

Popularity of Ebooks: Web surfers today are pressed for time and are in need for information quickly and easily. Ebooks serve this purpose since they can be easily downloaded or accessed through email. Since most web publishers offer original data through their e books, they provide access to such information that may not be available anywhere else on the internet.

Writing an Ebook: Now that you have decided to write an ebook and offer it to your web users, you must start by planning the entire process.

Choose a Subject: A clarity on the subject and purpose of your Ebook is very important. While some publishers write ebooks to promote their business or offer valuable free information to their website visitors, others may write it to earn financially by offering these ebooks for a price. Decide what it is that you want to write about in your ebook. It is generally recommeded to write about any subject that you are passionate about and also well informed about. Remember, whether you are offering an ebook free or for a price, its readers expect and deserve quality information that adds to their knowledge.

Define Your Target Audience: No matter what your purpose is for writing an ebook, it is imperative to first define who you want to offer these ebooks to. A clear knowledge of your audience will help you to write a more focussed and useful ebook.

Select a Title: The title or headline of your ebook is of great importance. You must select such a title that is attention grabbing, relevant and talks about what the ebook is about. This helps visitors to know what they can expect from the electronic book.

Start Writing: If you are attempting to write an ebook for the first time, you may face a few problems in th beginning. However, with a little research and a clear focus on your prospective readers, you should be able to offer quality.

Formatting & Layout: Web readers read differently as compared to those reading a printed document. Make sure to space out the text in your electronic book by leaving blocks of white space in between. Most importantly, offer your ebook in a compatible format such as PDF (Portable Document Format).

If you are a master in your field with plenty of experience, you should think about writing an Ebook to offer value to your readers. Add to this, the opportunity to further add to your revenue.

Once your ebook is ready, you can start promoting it on your website.

Publisert av Sigve Kommedalden 22. January 2010 0

The highly competitive network marketing industry can be very lucrative for those who know what to do and how to do it correctly. Unfortunately, a large percentage of people often fail to make their mark in this industry and this is why, it is essential to understand what it takes to become successful in your network marketing / MLM business.
People Look Up To Leaders: It is a natural human tendency to seek help, advice and direction from people who are strong leaders. This is simply because people who possess leadership capabilities are usually more informed, experienced and knowledgeable than the people following them.
Position yourself as a Leader or Expert Personality in your field: Based on your skills and experience in the industry, work towards positioning yourself as a market leader who has just the right knowledge, and experience in the field. By doing so, you will be able to attract other network marketers who will approach you for help, and guidance, something that they are in need of desperately.
Provide Solutions to Problems: Those struggling to make their mark in the network marketing industry and your other audiences will gain tremendously if you are able to provide tried and tested solutions to their most nagging problems. Instead of marketing your own MLM programs to them, make such resources and generic training material available to other network marketers that will help them in their quest of becoming more successful in their own individual MLM business.
As with most other industries, in order to make your mark in the network marketing industry and to meet your specific goals, you must be able to attract the right people to your business. Positioning yourself as an Expert or a valuable personality definitely helps!
Free & Paid Resources: Some free resources that you can offer include informational articles, useful videos made available through YouTube and personal experiences shared via your Network Marketing Blog. The more value you offer to others, the better.

In addition to these free resources, you can also earn some revenue by offering eBooks and courses in Network marketing training material. However, make sure to first acquire the necessary education and knowledge in your field. Read informative books, success stories and attend seminars to add value.

Market Yourself Well: Invest the necessary time and efforts in building yourself a professional website that talks about you and throws light on your services and experience. This will help in branding and will make you stand out from the crowd. Your MLM business will definitely benefit from this small effort of yours.

As you work towards creating a niche for yourself in the network marketing industry, you will slowly realise just how much you are trusted by your peers. With trust and leadership come respect and a healthy relationship.

This is why, all network marketers should look for ways to avoid being slapped by Google!

Google Adwords & the Infamous Google Slap

After all, a good, well balanced and goal oriented adwords campaign can create just the right impact on customers, pushing them to click on the ad and learning more about how your products and services can meet their needs.

Since Google changes its algorithms quite often, network marketers are often faced with the situation of being slapped or even suspended by Google. After that, they are totally thrown off guard and are unsure about how to win back that much needed traffic and genuine leads.

Why Hire a Copywriter?

Publisert av Sigve Kommedalden 14. January 2010 0

Words, when used in the correct context and right manner, have the power to inform, educate, persuade, promote, and even push in the desired direction. This inherent power of the written word can make all the difference to your online sales and marketing goals, when used strategically. This is the reason why, more and more online marketers and website owners are shifting their focus to improving the quality and effectiveness of their website copy, rather than only paying attention to developing a beautiful looking website. This creates a need for a professional, experienced and internet savvy copywriter.

Who is a Copywriter?

A copywriter is a person who has a good understanding of how to use the written word effectively so as to induce a desired action from its target audience. Good copywriters use their knowledge of what works in the online world to write such effective and persuasive web copy that catches and holds the otherwise distracted attention of the web surfers.

Well written, crisp and goal oriented website copy can go a long way in meeting an organisation’s marketing and promotion needs.

Let’s take an example – let’s say that you sell beautiful designer furniture online. You have asked your in-house design team to develop a beautiful website, utilising pretty images of each piece of furniture that you sell in your online store. Now ask yourself this –

  • “Can these images alone convince my prospective customers to buy from me instead of my competitors?”
  • “Is my website capable of converting a visitor’s fleeting interest in my products into a strong conviction to buy one of the furniture sets or at least send me an online enquiry for a product or my services?”

If the answer to any of these questions is a NO, you need help!

Should You Do It Yourself? A lot of website owners don’t understand the need for hiring a copywriter as they think they can do the writing themselves. Yes, why not.

But wouldn’t it be better to concentrate on your core competencies and let professionals take care of the copywriting?

Here are just some of the reasons why hiring a Copywriter makes sense

  1. Experienced and talented online copywriters have hands-on writing experience across a plethora of different industries. When you hire them, they put this knowledge into writing effective web copy that will work for your customers.
  2. Copywriters can take care of all your marketing needs in a timely manner by developing marketing campaigns, slogans, product descriptions and even Press Releases.
  3. By writing persuasive copy, a copywriter can communicate with your prospective buyers just as a salesman would do in a physical store, guide them through the buying process, provide answers to their questions and finally convince them to buy.
  4. And the best part, most copywriters will work for you on a freelance basis so you hire them only when there is a need.

Remember, effective, goal oriented copywriting can make a huge difference to your online success.
