If you have been searching for a flexible business opportunity that allows you to work from home with very little initial investment and offers you plenty of earning capabilities, Multi level marketing (MLM) maybe just what you need!

In case you are a person who is very social and likes to interact with people, MLM becomes an even more lucrative business to get into.

First things first, What is Multi-Level Marketing?
Often referred to as Network Marketing or Referral Marketing, Multi-level Marketing primarily refers to a marketing structure that is used by many Companies to promote their products and boost sales. As a part of a Company’s overall business marketing strategy, MLM outlines the compensation structure used to compensate the representatives or distributors who push sales of its products and services.

How Does It Work?
Under multi level marketing, a firm hires independent contractors like you to market, promote and sell their products. Once you make a basic, initial investment, you are given a supply of the Company’s products. The aim is to sell more and more of these products within your individual personal network of friends, family and acquaintances.

Besides receiving a commission on every sale made, you can also earn a percentage for every new member who you bring into the program & for the sales made by these new members in their individual networks!

Therefore, an MLM program is characterized by a heirarchy or pyramid system of earning revenues through a large network of distributors who span through different levels.

Difference Between Network Marketing and Multi-Level Marketing
Though both these terms are used interchangeably and are used to refer to the same thing, we can say that while network marketing refers to a marketing strategy, multi level marketing or MLM is the structure or the heirarchy through which representatives or contractors are paid for their network marketing and sales efforts.

MLM – The Good and Bad
Like most other things, MLM has its good and bad points. If you are considering becoming a part of a Company’s MLM efforts, here are some points to keep in mind –

• Their are many Companies who are operating scams. Research and verify the Company before becoming a part of their MLM program.
• Sell only genuine products.
• Do not make very large amounts of initial investment.

Often, there are serious concerns about whether or not an MLM program should be trusted or not. As you involve more and more people into your MLM program, there is a risk of running out of people who will actually buy your products.

If you are planning to enter the world of MLM, make sure to test the waters and join legitimate programs. This should help you to improve your earnings from the comforts of your own home.
