What is Network Marketing?

Word of mouth communication plays a crucial role in the success of Network Marketing efforts.
Think of it this way – if you were to mention just how useful Product A has been for you to all your friends, family and acquaintances; they are very likely to consider trying out the product for themselves. This is the whole point of network marketing – to increase the sales of products through personal recommendations and genuine sales efforts.

Common examples of Companies who are using Network Marketing in a major way include Amway, Tupperware etc.

What makes Network Marketing a viable marketing tool is the fact that when a Company hires an individual like you to market their products, they are able to directly reach out to your own, individual network of people. These are people (your friends, family members and acquaintances) who trust you, believe in you and are open to your recommendations. Hence, network marketing offers tremendous opportunity to reach out to a global audience, people who would otherwise be out of their direct reach.

Network Marketing & Multi-Level Marketing (MLM)
The terms Network Marketing and Multi-Level Marketing are often used interchangeably to mean the same thing. However, if we were to look into them carefully, we would be able to understand the basic difference between them. (We will look into this difference in another article.)

What’s in it for you?
The first and foremost thing to do is to find a Company that is genuine and whose products are of good quality. Once you believe in the products you are selling, you can earn several hundreds of dollars simply by introducing these products to those in your circle who can benefit from buying them. What’s more, most Companies offer a percentage on every new member who you introduce into this business in addition to your regular revenue on sales!
